Flinthill had a great day at Crufts 2023. Domino and Tilly’s pup Ruby both gave great performances in the big ring with Elizabeth and Catherine. Maia, handled by her breeder Faith Earl, won third in limit bitch and her stud book number. Her puppy, Ruby (Flinthill Some Like it Hot) owned by Faith and Caroline Wheldon and also handled by Faith, won minor puppy and was best puppy in breed. Proud of them all!
Tilly (Danaway Tilly at Flinthill) bred by Mary Gurney has had some good wins in the show ring as a puppy and junior bitch with handler, Gordon Rowbottom who owns her sire, Sh Ch Lanstara Spring Moon. She was reserve in her undergraduate class of 14 bitches at Crufts 2020 and will be out and about at shows again whenever possible.
Tilly's daughter, Flinthill Ruby Rebel sired by Tania Gardner's Quensha Walk Me Home to Danwish, loves the show ring and qualified for Crufts 2023 at Border Union, her first championship show by her winning puppy bitch class with handler, Catherine Reed.
Domino (Ragus Lets Get Moving at Flinthill) bred by Matthew Oddie, has won well as a puppy and junior dog and was at Crufts 2020 with Angus (Flinthill Sunny Spell) owned jointly with Michelle Wilkinson. Domino won third place in his postgraduate class at Crufts 2022. Domino achieved his stud book number by winning third place in his limit class at Darlington Championship Show.
Maia, bred by Faith Earl and Mrs C Wheldon, missed all her puppy and junior classes due to the COVID lockdown. She has won consistently since then, after taking time out for maternal duties, handled by her breeder, Faith. She won postgraduate at Crufts 2022 and was third in a strong limit class at Crufts 2023.
Maia’s puppy Bonnie (Flinthill Hot Shot) has made her debut in the show ring at North East open shows and has been in the winning line-up in puppy classes at championship and open shows. She will be at Crufts 2024.
We love the excitement of the show ring and it's fun to do well, but we always take the best dogs home whether they win or not!
